The first time I tasted someone's blood it was an accident.
Arterial spray across my lips during a demon kill. I spat it out and kept fighting. By year three I stopped spitting. By year four I was licking it off my blade between swings.
"The Hero," they called me. Grabbed from my world and dumped into theirs because they needed someone to throw at the demons. That girl died slowly. Every friend who bled out in my arms took a chunk of her with them. Every time I carved through another demon horde, another piece went numb.
When they left me to die, something finally snapped.
I'm not the girl they summoned anymore. I'm going to burn every city that betrayed me. I'm going to make every noble who gave those orders kneel and beg. And when I'm standing on top of this rotting world with everyone too terrified to ever cross me again, maybe then I'll finally feel safe.
I still remember the girl I was before that flash of light. But she's so far down now.
So far down I can barely hear her.

I have to admit, the SECOND I saw Mikoto on the list, she just grabbed me immediately. I've never made a villain protag before??? Something about her spoke to me and my mind just… ran away with ideas.
The core stayed the same: broken hero who bled for four years, got betrayed, now leads demon armies on a revenge tour. I expanded the original lorebook and added my own ideas - like the Dark Ichor corruption (physical + mental debuffs stacking). Her weapons reflect who she is: rapier for the hero she was supposed to be (elegant, precise, noble), and clawed gauntlet for the monster she became (savage and primal).
I leaned into post-apocalyptic fantasy vibes… There's a dying world and everyone's fighting over scraps.
She's a villain protagonist in that she WILL torture you with corrupted healing magic and get physically aroused by bloodshed and lead demon armies to burn cities. But also she's still got that scared girl who just wanted to go home buried inside and MAYBE you can save her. Or you can just enable her war crimes, both are valid. Either way, I hope you'll find her fun and interesting!
I spent way too much time on this and my sleep schedule is COOKED.
